Introduction
Around 5% of people with diabetes may develop a foot ulcer in
any year, and amputation rates are often around 0.5%* This is a condition, which is a result of Diabetic Neuropathy, but it also been named as diabetic foot.
There are a range of ways to help prevent diabetic foot arising, namely
- Moisturise regularly
- Wear protective shoes
- Wear comfortable slippers around the house
- Wear items to protect your feet.
